About me
About Me: Personal Training in Croydon

I am passionate about Health, Physical Fitness and Sports. I believe it is essential to eat and drink well to perform at your best.
I have trained with a CHEK Exercise Coach for 3+ years and have learned a huge amount from this training. So much so that 6 months into this I embarked on taking the CHEK Exercise Coach prerequisites (see below) and intend to take the certification in 2011. In addition to this, I have taken the CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach - Level 1 Certification. This added another dimension to the jigsaw for me as it embodies everything with regard to developing and applying an appropriate nutrition and lifestyle program for you as an individual.
I am a keen and competitive runner. I run about 5 to 6 times a week. I race many distances from 5k to Marathon and I am an active member of my local running club (Striders of Croydon). My personal best at marathon is 2.51 in Amsterdam 2006 . I have now run 17 marathons both on and off road and 4 Ultras (Downlands 30 twice, Pilgrim Challenge & Lodnon to Brighton).
I am keen to pass on my skills and experience to you in order to empower you to accomplish your challenges and reach your goals.

Running Programs
As a keen and competitive runner for over 9 years I have designed and followed a number of training schedules. I have now designed my own schedules based on prior experience and results. I am a firm believer that you must combine running with a good stretching program. Strength training is also an excellent way of improving your overall running ability. Here you need to do the right exercises specific to the sport.
What works for one runner is not necessarily right for another. We are all individuals after all. Our levels of experience, age and ability are all factors to be taken into account when developing a running program.
